Chrono Crusade is based on Daisuke Moriyama’s manga of the same name. The 2003 series was directed by Yuu Kou (Blood+, Uta no Prince-sama – Maji Love 1000%) at Gonzo, with Kazuya Kuroda (Master of Mosquiton, Vandread) providing character designs. Atsuhiro Tomioka (Fairy Tail, One Piece) and Natsuko Takahashi (Aikatsu!, Bleach) collaborated on the show’s scripts.

Katsuhiko Takayama (Aldnoah.Zero, Looking Up At The Half-Moon) was in charge of series composition for the project.
