Crunchyroll Adds Chrono Crusade, High School DxD Season 2, 2 More


Sister Rosette is spreading the good word to orange shores tonight.

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announce that they added four titles to their digital lineup. The company started streaming the following:

All four shows were licensed in North America by Funimation

Chrono Crusade

Chrono Crusade is based on Daisuke Moriyama’s manga of the same name. The 2003 series was directed by Yuu Kou (Blood+, Uta no Prince-sama – Maji Love 1000%) at Gonzo, with Kazuya Kuroda (Master of Mosquiton, Vandread) providing character designs. Atsuhiro Tomioka (Fairy Tail, One Piece) and Natsuko Takahashi (Aikatsu!, Bleach) collaborated on the show’s scripts.

Chrono Crusade is available to users in the United States and Canada. Crunchyroll describes the series as:

In New York, 1928, the seals between Earth and Hell are breached. Brandishing sacred weaponry, elite exorcists Sister Rosette and Chrono—a devil whose incredible powers sap his partner’s life—clean the streets of demonic filth. In a race against time, this dynamite pair charges towards certain death to stop the apocalyptic horrors of the indomitable devil, Aion.

The Future Diary

The Future Diary is based on Sakae Esuno’s manga of the same name. Naoto Hosoda (The Devil is a Part-Timer!, Shuffle!) directed the 2011 series at asread, with Hidetsugu Hirayama (Shuffle!) providing character designs. Katsuhiko Takayama (Aldnoah.Zero, Looking Up At The Half-Moon) was in charge of series composition for the project.

The Future Diary is available to users in the United States and Canada. Crunchyroll describes the show as:

Reality quickly unravels when antisocial Yukiteru is called into a death match against 11 other mentally scarred individuals. Each player has a prophetic device tuned to their personality, giving them control over their future—and the fate of their foes.

Endride

Endride is part of a multimedia project, which was directed by Keiji Gotoh (D.N.Angel, Kiddy Grade) at studio Brain’s Base. Touko Machida (Lucky Star, Wake Up, Girls!) took charge of series composition, while the team of Kazushi Hagiwara (Bastard!!) and Nobuhiro Watsuki (Rurouni Kenshin) provided character designs.

High School DxD‘s second season aired during the Summer 2013 broadcast season. The series was directed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa (Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire, Destiny of the Shrine Maiden) at TNK. Junji Goto (School Days, Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire) provided character designs for the project, while Takao Yoshioka (Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire, Watamote) took charge of series composition.

High School DxD‘s second season is available for members in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Crunchyroll describes the show as:
