Crunchyroll Adds “Gundam Seed” & “Gundam Seed Destiny” To Digital Lineup

Well, at least it’s not Reconguista in G.

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they added Mobile Suit Gundam Seed and sequel series Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny to their digital lineup. Both shows are available to all members outside of Asia.

Both shows are remastered in HD, and available in subtitled format.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed is a 2002 series from Sunrise. The 50-episode series was directed by Mitsuo Fukuda (Future GPX Cyber Formula, Super Atragon), with Hisashi Hirai (Fafner, S-CRY-ed) providing character designs. Chiaki Morosawa (Gear Fighter Dendoh) was in charge of series composition for the project.

Crunchyroll describes the series as:

The tensions mounted between the Earth Alliance and the ZAFT Forces caused by the ‘Bloody Valentine’ tragedy have erupted into an all-out war.” The Earth Alliance’s mobile armor forces and tanks launch…mobile suits are destroyed one after another…

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny debuted in the Fall 2004 broadcast season, and ran for 50 episodes. Crunchyroll describes show as:

It seemed a foregone conclusion that the Earth Alliance, with its superior numbers, would be victorious. But this initial assessment proved to be false. Almost 11 months have passed since the conflict began, with no end in sight…”
