“Yōkai Apāto no Yūga na Nichijō” Gets First PV, Visual, & Cast Reveals

It’s time to meet the first residents of the Yōkai Apartments.

Earlier today, the official Yōkai Apāto no Yūga na Nichijō (Gracious Daily Life in the Youkai Apartments) anime website updated with a new promotional video, as well as a key visual.

The 25-second promo video introduces the first two cast members for the show. Atsushi Abe and Yuichi Nakamura will play lead characters Yuushi Inaba and Mizuke Hase, respectively. The two are reprising their roles from previous drama CDs that were released.

The key visual features the major cast members, standing in front of the titular Yōkai Apartments. The building is bathed in a golden glow, as light shines forth from the windows and doors.

Yōkai Apāto no Yūga na Nichijō hits Japanese TV this July. The show will air on Tokyo MX, Yomiuri TV, and BS11 as part of the “Anime no Me” programming block. An advanced screening event is planned for July 1, which will feature Atsushi Abe as a guest host.

Hinowa Kōzuki’s Yōkai Apāto no Yūga na Nichijō light novels first hit Japanese retailers in 2003. The title ran through 2009, ultimatley spanning ten volumes and a side story collection. Kōzuki launched a manga adaptation of the work in the pages of Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius in 2011. To date, thirteen collected volumes have been produced, with the most recent hitting stores on April 7.
