Blood Blockade Battlefront & Beyond Gets Three New Visuals, October 2017 Premiere


Where we’re going, we don’t need blockades… especially those made of blood.

Earlier today, the official Blood Blockade Battlefront & BEYOND anime website updated with three new visuals. The first is a key visual, which features the leads posing before a red background. The relief of a city can be seen behind them.

The site also added visuals for new characters Michella Watch and Sonic. You can check these out below:

Blood Blockade Battlefront & BEYOND will premiere this October on MBS, TOKYO MX, and BS11.

Blood Blockade Battlefront & BEYOND is a sequel to 2015’s Blood Blockade Battlefront. Shigehito Takayanagi (The World God Only Knows, Dagashi Kashi) is directing the show at Bones, with Toshihiro Kawamoto (Cowboy Bebop, Noragami) pulling double duty as character designer and chief animation director. Yasuko Kamo (Dagashi Kashi) is in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Klaus Von Reinhertz: Rikiya Koyama
  • K.K.: Ai Orikasa
  • Gilbert F. Altstein: Banjou Ginga
  • Zed O’Brien: Hikaru Midorikawa

  • Steven A. Starphase: Mitsuru Miyamoto
  • Chain Sumeragi: Yu Kobayashi
  • Michella Watch: Nana Mizuki
  • Sonic Speed Monkey: Yuma Uchida

Funimation currently holds the domestic rights to the first season of Blood Blockade Battlefront, which they describe as:

A breach between Earth and the netherworld opens under New York, trapping New Yorkers and interdimensional creatures in a bubble.
