Visual & Premiere Date Unveiled For “Haikyu!! Sainō to Sense” Compilation Movie

It’s time to take a blast to the past with the volleyball team.

Earlier today, the official Haikyu!! anime franchise’s Twitter account updated with a new visual for Haikyu!! Sainō to Sense (Haikyu!! Genius and Sense). The image features Shōyō Hinata and Tobio Kageyama staring down Aobajōsai High players Tōru Oikawa and Issei Matsukawa.

Haikyu!! Sainō to Sense opens in Japanese theaters on September 15. The feature is the first of two compilation films, which will recap the events of the anime series.

Sainō to Sense will retell the events of the first season’s match between Aobajōsai High School. New scenes will be added to the feature, which focus on the Aobajōsai High players after the match.

The second film, Haikyu!! Concept no Tatakai (Haikyu!! Battle of Concepts) opens on September 29. The movie will highlight the match against Shiratorizawa Academy, which occurs during the show’s third season.

Both features will receive a two-week theatrical engagement.

A promo video for the films was released to announce the films on March. You can check it out below:
