I wonder if patrons call their food “out of this world”?

I’ll stop now.

Earlier today, the official Restaurant to Another World (Isekai Shokudo) anime website updated with a new promotional video. The 90-second trailer features the show’s opening and ending theme songs as background tracks.

In addition, the site updated with five new cast members:

  • Red Queen: Shizuka Ito
  • Artorius: Motomu Kiyokawa
  • Tatsugoro: Hochu Otsuka
  • Alphonse: Fumihiko Tachiki
  • Heinrich: Tomokazu Sugita

Visuals for the new characters were also unveiled, which you can check out below:

Restaurant to Another World will air on the following networks:

  • BS Japan: 7/8/2017 at 12:30AM
  • AT-X: 7/6/2017 at 8:00PM

The series is based on Junpei Inuzuka’s light novel series of the same name. Masato Jinbo (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya 2wei Herz!, Chaos;Child) will direct the series and take charge of series composition at Silver Link. The team of Takao Sano (Nurse Witch Komugi R, Shomin Sample) and Keiichi Sano (Heaven’s Memo Pad, Strike the Blood) will provide character designs for the project.

The previously confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Shopkeeper/Master: Junichi Suwabe
  • Aletta: Sumire Uesaka
  • Kuro: Saori Ōnishi
  • Sarah: Kiyono Yasuno

“Wake Up, May’n!”, a collaboration between the Wake Up, Girls! idol unit and May’n (image below), will perform opening theme song One in a Billion. Kiyono Yasuno will perform closing theme song Namida (Tears).

Junpei Inuzuka published the first Isekai Shokudo story on Japanese site Shosetsu-ka ni Naro (Let’s Become Novelists!) in 2013. The first print edition was released in February 2015, under Shufunotomo’s Hero Bunko. Shufunotomo’s published versions feature illustrations by Katsumi Inami.

To date, two volumes have been published. The third book is slated to hit retailers on September 30. A manga adaptation of the title is also in the works, which will début in Square Enix’s Young Gangan magazine. According to Inuzuka, the manga will share the same first chapter as the original work, though subsequent chapters will diverge from the original books.

Visuals for the Master, Aletta, Kuro, and Sarah were previously released to promote the show. You can check these out below:
