First Visual For Love Live! Sunshine!! Season 2 Revealed


That ticket to the future is finally getting cashed in, folks.

Earlier today, the official Love Live! Sunshine!! anime website updated with a new visual for the show’s second season. The image features the ladies of Aqours posing in front of Uranohoshi Girls’ Academy, the blue sky barely visible behind them as feathers flutter down from above.

Love Live! Sunshine!! returns to Japanese TV this fall. As of press time, no further details on the upcoming season have been announced. The season was first revealed in February, at live concert “Aqours 1st LoveLive! ~Step! ZERO to ONE~”.

Love Live! Sunshine!! is the latest entry in the Love Live! School Idol Project franchise. Kazuo Sakai (Mushi-Uta) directed the first season, which aired in the Summer 2016 broadcast season, at Sunrise. Yūhei Murota and Jukki Hanada both reprised their roles on the project as character designer and series composition, respectively.

Funimation currently holds the domestic rights to Love Live! Sunshine!!‘s first season They describe the show as:

Uranohoshi Girls’ High School, a private school in the seaside neighborhood of Uchiura at Numazu city, Shizuoka prefecture.

A small high school in a corner of Suruga Bay, it is home to nine teens,
led by second-year student Chika Takami, driven by one seriously big dream:

To become the next generation of bright, sparkling “school idols”!

As long as we don’t give up, any dream can come true…
All we have to do now is keep pushing hard for glory!

Now their “School Idol Project” begins to make their dreams come true!
