The Chupakabura kingdom is ready to welcome a whole new batch of tourists this season.
Earlier today, the official Sakura Quest anime website updated with a new key visual. The image features the show’s leading ladies, set against a blue sky.
In addition, Toho started streaming a three-minute teaser trailer. The promo features opening theme song 「Lupinus」 closing theme Baby’s Breath (both by (K)NoW_NAME) as background tracks.
Sakura Quest returns to Japanese TV on July 5.
Soichi Masui (Chaika – The Coffin Princess, Scrapped Princess) is directing Sakura Quest, which features character designs by BunBun (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero, Izetta: The Last Witch). Masahiro Yokotani (Free! – Iwatobi Swim Club, Re:Zero) is supervising the show’s scripts. “Alexandre S. D. Celibidache” is credited with the original concept.
(K)NoW_NAME is returning to perform opening theme song 「Lupinus」, as well as ending theme Baby’s Breath.
Funimation holds the domestic rights to Sakura Quest. They describe the show as:
Five young women have one thing in common—the careers they planned for themselves weren’t working out. Job dissatisfaction, trying to make ends meet, and personal insecurities lead each of them to start working at a local tourism bureau where their lives become intertwined. As the girls experience their first year on the job, they learn a lot about their town, their industry, and themselves.
