So, this is a pretty crazy road, all considered.

Earlier today, Kadokawa Corporation revealed that Tadataka Kawasaki’s Chio’s School Road (Chio-chan no Tsūgakuro) will receive an anime adaptation.

Kadokawa showed off a two-and-a-half minute trailer to promote the project, which is being produced by diomedea. Mayuko Matsumoto (KanColle, Handa-kun) is designing the characters.

Kadokawa describes the project as:

Arriving at a school just as usual is a miracle!

Gangs at the construction site, sudden desire to urinate… The high school student Chio has to face all kinds of troubles!

The extreme comedy is now being adapted into an anime!

Chio’s School Road kicked off in the pages of Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Flapper magazine in May 2014. To date, six collected volumes have been produced, with the most recent hitting stores on March 23.
