Crunchyroll Adds “Clean Freak! Aoyama-kun” to Summer 2017 Simulcasts


Aoyama-kun is a pretty cool guy. Eh cleans the school and doesn’t afraid of anything.

Last night, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream Clean Freak! Aoyama-kun (Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama-kun as part of their Summer 2017 simulcast lineup. The series premieres today at 12:30PM Eastern (9:30AM Pacific) all members outside of Asia.

The show is based on Taku Sakamoto’s manga series of the same name. Kazuya Ichikawa (Monster Strike the Animation, Shadow Skill 3 will direct the series at Studio Hibari, with Midori Gotou (Attack on Titan: Junior High, Hozuki’s Coolheadedness) taking charge of series composition. Arisa Matsuura will produce the character designs.

Pony Canyon is providing the soundtrack, while TMS Entertainment produces.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Aoyama-kun: Ryotaro Okiayu
  • Kaoru Zaizen: Tomokazu Seki
  • Moka Goto: Anzu Hirano
  • Kazuma Sakai: Soichiro Hoshi
  • Jin Tsukamoto: Daisuke Sakaguchi
  • Taichi Yoshioka: Hiroyuki Yoshino
  • Gaku Ishikawa: Noriaki Sugiyama
  • Hikaru Tada: Daisuke Kishio

The Clean Freak! Aoyama-kun manga kicked off in the pages of Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2014. To date, seven volumes have been produced, with the most recent hitting stores on February 17.

Crunchyroll describes Clean Freak! Aoyama-kun as:

Aoyama kun is a hot, young soccer prodigy who plays midfielder for the National U-16 Soccer Team. But he’s also an extreme germaphobe!

The TV anime adaptation of “Keppeki Danshi! Aoyama kun!” (Clean Freak!! Aoyama kun) portrays the friendships he forms and the challenges he overcomes in a “spotless” coming-of-age story!
