In space, nobody can hear the King of the Monsters.
Earlier today, Toho Animation started streaming the first trailer for Godzilla: Monster Planet (Godzilla: Kaijลซ Wakusei). The 30-second teaser gives a brief look at the cast, with Godzilla making a quick appearance before the logo cut.
Godzilla: Monster Planet, will hit Japanese theaters on November 17. The feature will stream later this year on Netflix as a Netflix Original project.
The Godzilla films was also presented as a feature in this year’s Annecy International Film Festival’s “Work in Progress” program.
The film will be directed by Kobun Shizuno (Knights of Sidonia) and Hiroyuki Seshita (Blame!) at Polygon Pictures. Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Psycho-Pass) is writing the script.
The confirmed voice cast includes:
- Yuko Tani: Kana Hanazawa
- Haruo Sakaki: Mamoru Miyano
- Mulu-Elu Galu-gu: Junichi Suwabe
- Metphies: Takahiro Sakurai
- Martin Lazzari: Tomokazu Sugita
- Adam Bindewald: Yuuki Kaji
