Rob Pereyda & Kazuma Ishida Collaborating on ARISTAR Comic


It looks like it’s time to catch a shooting Aristar.

Yesterday, Rob Pereyda announced that he is working on a new comic series, titled ARISTAR. Pereyda will co-write the series with Matt Melvin, while artist Kazuma Ishida draws the illustrations. Marko Head (Dig Dug, She & Me) will serve as colorist on the title.

As of press time, no details have been revealed about the project, though Pereyda did release a sample page. You can check it out below.

Rob Pereyda is an industry veteran, who’s worked within both the gaming and anime industries. His career spans numerous major organizations in both spheres, including:

  • Licensing Specialist at Capcom (2005 – 2007)
  • Vice President of Licensing at Crunchyroll (2008 – 2011)
  • Vice President of Business Development at Bandai Namco’s Network Strategy Office (2011 – 2014)
  • North American CEO & Global CSO at Viewster (2015 – 2016)
  • Senior Advisor at Kitsu (2016 – Present)
  • Vice President of Business Development at Viz Media (2016 – Present)

Pereyda spearheaded numerous prominent initiatives in these organizations, including Omakase (Viewster) and the ShiftyLook web publishing platform (Bandai Namco).

Kazuma Ishida is a comic artist, who’s been active since 2012. He’s the core member of doujinshi circle PocketScreen, which publishes the Alice series.
