It looks like this studio is getting a few new fixtures.
Earlier today, Kyoto Animation showed off a new promotional video for Baja no Studio. The 40-second promo offers a look at the title in action.
The studio also opened a website for the project, which confirms the major cast and crew members attached.
Cast
Baja no Studio will star:
- Baja: Maika Yoshida
- Koko: Azusa Tadokoro
- Kanako: Hisako Kanemoto
- Gaa-chan: Mutsumi Tamura
- Gii: Mutsumi Tamura
Staff
Ichirou Miyoshi (Munto, Last War of Heavenloids and Akutoloids) is directing the title at Kyoto Animation, with Rin Yamamoto (A Silent Voice, Free! Eternal Summer) serving as CGI director.

Baja no Studio is an original anime project that’s being produced for the upcoming Kyoto Animation and Animation DO fan event that runs from October 28-29.
A Blu-Ray containing the special will be given away to event attendees, along with two companion books. One book will include commentary and information on the studios’ 2016 & 2017 titles. The second tome will feature illustrations and other articles from both studios’ 2016 & 2017 shows.
A Baja no Studio Blu-Ray will also be released to retail, though specifics on the project remain sparse as of press time.
