“Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody” Anime Gets New Trailer

Tonight on “anime titles with metal-sounding names…”

Earlier today, the official Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody anime website updated with a new promotional video. The 110-second teaser ties clips from the show with a summary that’s presented in English.

As of press time, a specific première date has yet to be announced.

Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody is based on Hiro Ainana and illustrator shri’s light novel series of the same name. Shin Oonuma (Baka & Test: Summon the Beasts, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya) is directing the project at Silver Link.

Ainana’s Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody novels began as a web novel, which made its début in 2013. Kadokawa released the first volume in print a year later, in March 2014. To date, eleven novels have been produced, which have a combined 1.1 million books in print.

A manga adaptation of the title by Megumu Aya launched in the pages of Kadokawa’s Age Premium magazine in 2014. The ongoing series shifted to Monthly Dragon Age in July 2015, when Age Premium ended its run.

Yen Press currently holds the domestic rights to both the light novel and manga adaptation of the title. They describe it as:

Programmer Ichirou Suzuki is transported to another world. In a foreign land, he finds that life is an adventure that’s sometimes fun, sometimes serious, and full of girls!
