Love Live! Sunshine!! Season 2 Gets Second Trailer

Apparently, nothing stops this Happy Party Train until it rolls into station this October.

Over the weekend, the members of Aqours continued their trip across Japan in the “Aqours 2nd Love Live! Happy Party Train Tour.” At the event, a new teaser trailer for Love Live! Sunshine!!‘s second season was officially unveiled. The 33-second trailer features footage from the new season, as character dialogue highlights the major story beats.

Love Live! Sunshine!! returns to Japanese TV this October. Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, BS11, TV Aichi, Shizuoka Broadcasting System, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Kyushu will all carry the new season as it airs.

The title is the second (and latest) entry in the Love Live! School Idol Project franchise. Kazuo Sakai (Mushi-Uta) directed the first season, which aired in the Summer 2016 broadcast season, at Sunrise. Yūhei Murota and Jukki Hanada both reprised their roles on the project as character designer and series composition, respectively.

Funimation currently holds the domestic rights to Love Live! Sunshine!!‘s first season They describe the show as:

Uranohoshi Girls’ High School, a private school in the seaside neighborhood of Uchiura at Numazu city, Shizuoka prefecture.

A small high school in a corner of Suruga Bay, it is home to nine teens,
led by second-year student Chika Takami, driven by one seriously big dream:

To become the next generation of bright, sparkling “school idols”!

As long as we don’t give up, any dream can come true…
All we have to do now is keep pushing hard for glory!

Now their “School Idol Project” begins to make their dreams come true!

The first promotional teaser was shown off at another Aqours concert earlier this month. You can check it out below:
