“Evil or Live” Comic Gets Anime Adaptation By Animation Company Emon

Earlier today, Animation Company Emon announced that they will produce an anime adaptation of Li Xiaonan’s Lixiang Jinqu (Ideal Restricted Area). The series, titled Evil or Live, will première in October.

Tokyo MX will carry the series, with the debut slated for 1:41AM (local time) on October 10.

A 53-second promotional teaser was unveiled for the project, which you can check out below:

A key visual for the project was also released, which features Shin ahd Hibiki against a red background:

Dong Yi will direct the title at Emon, with Lin Zhengzhe serving as Art Director. Mi Chong and Shantian Gaifan will Executive produce, while Chen Weiwen and Zhang Yuan are attached as producers.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Hibiki: Shinichiroh Ueda
  • Shiori: Chika Anzai
  • Shin: Kouki Uchiyama

Animation Company Emon describes the title as:

In this modern society, a new kind of “illness” is striking young boys and girls; Loneliness, disbelief and outrage push this generation to get more or more attached to Internet and technologies. The experts called those symptom “Net Addiction”. To prevent that, a certain Rehabilitation Facility has been set up to “Lead the young man back to the right path”. Enrolled to treat is addiction, Hibiki had no idea that this Rehabilition Facility is nothing more than a prison. In this place where it’s not permitted to escape, how will Hibiki challenge despair in this hell?
