“King’s Game The Animation” Previews All 48 Roles in Two Trailers


Get ready to hear a lot of one-liners in a super short time frame!

Last night, the official King’s Game The Animation anime website updated with a pair of promotional videos. The two trailers feature samples of all 48 major characters:

King’s Game The Animation is based on Nobuaki Kanazawa and illustrator Hitori Renda’s manga of the same name. Noriyoshi Sasaki (My Wife is the Student Council President+!Ojisan to Marshmallow) is directing the project at studio Seven, with the team of Kan Soramoto and Yōsuke Itō providing character designs. Kenji Konuta (Blood LadSaiyuki Reload Blast) it in charge of series composition.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

Crunchyroll will stream King’s Game The Animation as part of their Fall simulcast lineup. They describe the show as:

Kanazawa Nobuaki has transferred to a high school far from where he used to live. Due to an incident at his old school, Nobuaki is afraid of getting close to his new classmates and keeps himself at a distance, but he starts opening up because of a sports day inter-class relay. Then, a single text message from someone calling themselves the “King” is sent to everyone in class. Nobuaki’s classmates think it’s a simple prank, and don’t take it seriously–but Nobuaki knows that a death game is about to begin, and struggles to oppose it…
