Sentai Filmworks Acquires “My Girlfriend is Shobitch”, Plans Anime Strike Simulcast

Look, this title’s been screaming for this: Sentai has this one, fo sho, bitch.

Sentai Filmworks announced that they acquired the rights to My Girlfriend is Shobitch. In the United States, Sentai will stream the show on Amazon’s Anime Strike service as a simulcast when it airs this fall.

My Girlfriend is Shobitch will première on October 11. The full broadcast schedule is as follows:

  • Gifu Broadcasting: 10/12/2017 at 25:45 (10/13/2017 at 1:45AM)
  • BS11: 10/13/2017 at 25:00 (10/14/2017 at 1:00AM)

My Girlfriend is Shobitch is based on Namiru Matsumoto’s Boku no Kanojo ga Majime Sugiru Shojo Bitch na Ken (My Girlfriend is a Faithful Virgin Bitch). Nobuyoshi Nagayama was tapped to direct the project at diomedea, with Shōko Yasuda (Unlimited Fafnir) providing character designs. Hideki Shirane (Date A LiveIs It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) is in charge of series composition.

Nippon Columbia will produce the title’s soundtrack.

The series will star the following:

  • Haruka Shinozaki: Mitsuhiro Ichiki
  • Shizuku Ariyama: Rarisa Tago Takeda
  • Rina Saijō: Natsumi Yamada
  • Kanata Shinozaki: Yuki Yagi
  • Saori Igarashi: Juri Nagatsuma
  • Sayo Shizumori: Miki Hase
  • Misaki Aikawa: Marin Mizutani

Aoi Yūki was also tapped to perform the show’s opening theme song.

Namiru Matsumoto’s original manga debuted on NicoNico Seiga on July 20, 2015. The series currently spans four collected volumes, the most recent of which hit stores on August 10.
