Earlier today, Amazon’s Anime Strike service unveiled their core Fall 2017 simulcast lineup. The company will stream the following:

The company didn’t specify a launch date for My Girlfriend Is Shobitch, which Sentai confirmed for the platform last week. Anime Strike will also continue their simulcast runs for Welcome to the Ballroom and Altair: A Record of Battles.
UQ Holder!
UQ Holder! is based on Ken Akamatsu’s UQ Holder! Magister Negi Magi! 2 manga. Youhei Suzuki (Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side, Rune Soldier) is directing the project at J.C. Staff, with Masahiro Fujii (The Familiar of Zero, Hayate the Combat Butler!!) providing character designs. Series creator Ken Akamatsu and Shogo Yasukawa (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma, Terraformars) are collaborating on series composition and scripts.
Sentai describes UQ Holder! as:
Set in the same universe as Akamatsu’s Negima! series, the story begins decades later with a young boy named Tōta Konoe being struck down while protecting his guardian, Yukihime, against a ruthless bounty hunter. Though his wounds should have been fatal, Tōta not only survives, he learns the reason behind his limited memories – Yukihime is actually a sorceress and 700-year-old vampire who saved his life two years ago by making him a vampire as well. With his powers awakened, Tōta’s life will only get more interesting when he joins a secret society for outcasts and fellow immortals: UQ Holder.
Just Because!
Just Because! is an original project from studio Pine Jam. Atsushi Kobayashi was tapped to direct the project, with Hiroyuki Yoshii (Tawawa on Monday) providing character designs. Hajime Kamoshida (The Pet Girl of Sakurasou light novels) is in charge of the title’s scripts.
Sentai describes the series as:
For a group of high school seniors, a chance reunion with a transfer student will change the course of their final year. Eita Izumi has come back to his hometown after four years and encounters some unlikely acquaintances: Haruto Soma, Eita’s childhood friend; Ena Komiya, the photography student who witnesses Eita and Haruto’s reunion; Mio Natsume, whose feelings for her middle school crush still linger; and Hazuki Morikawa, a girl who seems uninterested in romantic relationships. When the paths of these five cross, their fates turn in a way none of them could have seen coming.
Girls’ Last Tour
Takaharu Ozaki (Persona 5 the Animation -The Day Breakers-) will direct Girls’ Last Tour at White Fox, with Mai Toda (Matoi the Sacred Slayer, Holy Knight) providing character designs. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Yatterman Night) is in charge of series composition.

In a future where most of humanity has perished, two young girls named Chito and Yuuri explore the ruins of civilization on their Kettenkrad gun tractor, looking for food and fuel. Despite their bleak existence, the two find meaning in their simple, shared experiences. With Chito behind the wheel and Yuuri handling gun duties, these two set out to salvage what’s left of their post-apocalyptic world.
Yuki Yuna is A Hero
Yuki Yuna is A Hero‘s second season is being split into two parts:
- Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Washio Sumi Chapter)
- Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Yūsha no Shō (Yuki Yuna Is a Hero: Hero Chapter)
Washio Sumi no Shō will be six episodes, which retell the events of the three Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō films that hit Japanese theaters this year. Yūsha no Shō will be a direct sequel to the original Yuki Yuna Is a Hero anime.
Land of the Lustrous
Land of the Lustrous is based on Haruko Ichikawa’s manga of the same name. Takahiko Kyogoku (Love Live! School Idol Project, Pretty Rhythm franchise) was tapped to direct the project at Orange, with Asako Nishida (Love Live! franchise, Haruchika – Haruta & Chika) filling the role of character designer. Toshiya Ono (Gatchaman Crowds, Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga) is in charge of series composition.

In the distant future, microscopic organisms have left the planet desolate and given way to a new life form: Houseki. However, all is not peaceful. The 28 Houseki must fight against the Moon Dwellers, beings who attack them without discrimination and use their shattered bodies as decorations. For this reason, each Houseki is assigned a role, whether it be a fighter or a medic. Phosphophyllite, or Phos, is the youngest of their kin, and has not been given an assignment due to a lack of skill. Everything changes when Kongou, the leader of the Houseki, assigns Phos the task of creating an encyclopedia of natural history.
Himouto! Umaru-chan R
Himouto! Umaru-chan R is the second season in the Himouto! Umaru-chan anime franchise. Masahiko Ota (YuruYuri, Gabriel Dropout) will return to direct the series at Doga Kobo, with Takashi Aoshima (Gabriel Dropout, YuruYuri) taking charge of series composition. Aya Takano (Polar Bear’s Cafe, Kimi no Koe o Todoketai) will also return to provide character designs.
Sentai describes the title as:
Umaru is a renowned beautiful 16-year-old girl in town, living with her elder brother Taihei. She acts a perfect sister with a kind heart, intelligence and popularity, who everybody admires. So who would believe how true Umaru is at home? Sleeping, gaming, watching TV, eating junk food, drinking cola… that’s almost all she does at home, leaving all the housework to her brother.
Her camouflage is so perfect that when one of her classmates visits her home by surprise and witnesses “true Umaru,” she pretends as if she is Umaru’s younger sister. Taihei is always swayed by Umaru’s gap between ostensible face and spoiled life, but he cannot hate his comical and somehow lovable cute little sister!
Inuyashiki
Inuyashiki is based on Hiroya Oku’s manga of the same name. Keiichi Satou (Tiger & Bunny, Rage of Bahamut: Genesis) will serve as chief director at MAPPA, with Shuhei Yabuta taking the director’s chair. Naoyuki Onda (Ergo Proxy, Gantz) is providing character designs for the show, while Hiroshi Seko (Seraph of the End, Ajin) takes charge of series composition.
