Crunchyroll Adds “Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter” 2 More to Fall 2017 Simulcasts

Whether you’re WUGgin’ or you’re in it for the villains to win it all, Crunchyroll has you covered this season.

Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they will stream three shows as part of their Fall 2017 simulcast lineup. The publisher will offer the following:

  • Time Bokan The Villains’ Strike Back
  • Anime-Gataris
  • Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter

Time Bokan The Villains’ Strike Back

Time Bokan The Villains’ Strike Back will première on October 7 at 4:00AM Pacific (7:00AM Eastern). The series will be available for members in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Netherlands, Denmark, and Central and South America including the Caribbean

The series is a sequel to Time Bokan 24. Yoichi Kato (Aikatsu!, Yo-kai Watch) is in charge of series composition for the project at Tatsunoko Production, with Takahiro Yoshimatsu (Future GPX Cyber Formula, Overlord)) providing character designs.

Crunchyroll describes Time Bokan 24 as:

Allow me to explain! Bimajo, Tsubuyakky, and Suzukky work at the History Paradise Company, which publishes text books in the 24th century, and they’re also the evil trio, Akudarma, that gets in the way of JKK’s investigation of history!

After their last battle in history with JKK officers Tokio and Calen, they were on a long yet short time off (unpaid, of course), when they finally received a new assignment from their mysterious boss, Akudarma.

The assignment… was to collect the mystical Dynamonds from famous people throughout history.

Another ridiculous order from the boss, but alas, that is the life of an office worker. Akudarma starts hopping through time, as they’re ordered, and try to get the Dynamonds from the various famous historical figures.

The evil trio’s revenge mission through time was about to start once again!!

Also, please make sure not to forget about the protagonists (?) Tokio and Calen!

Anime-Gataris

Anime-Gataris will hit Crunchyroll on October 8 at 7:00AM Pacific (10:00AM Eastern). The show will be available to members in the United States, Canada, South Africa, UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, The Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, and Central and South America.

The show is an original project from DMM Pictures. Kenshirō Morii (Nora, Princess, and Stray CatWake Up, Girl Zoo!) is directing the project at Wao World, with so-shi providing character designs. Mitsutaka Hirota (NanbakaSweetness & Lightning) is in charge of series composition for the project.

Crunchyroll describes Anime-Gataris as:

Just as soon as she enters Sakaneko Private High School, Asagadani Minoa is dragged into the anime club by her classmate, Kamiigusa Arisu, even though she knows next to nothing about anime. A classmate, Kouenji Miko, along with other anime-loving senpais, quickly turn her into an anime fan. Fighting off the incessant shut-down threats of the student council, and completely oblivious to the coming apocalypse, the anime club talks about anime in the club, at Akihabara, at anime Meccas, and at hot springs.

Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter

Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter will start streaming on October 9 at 11:05PM Pacific (10/10/2017 at 2:05 Eastern) for all members outside of Asia.

Shin Itagaki will replace Yutaka “Yamakan” Yamamoto as director for Wake Up, Girls! Shin Shō at Millepensee. Miyuki Sugawara will replace Sunao Chikaoka, who is now credited with “Original Character Design.” The scripts and original story are credited to Green Leaves.

The team of Satoru Kousaki and monaca will return to compose the soundtrack at Dive II animation.

Crunchyroll describes the series as:

Just as soon as she enters Sakaneko Private High School, Asagaya Minoa is dragged into the anime club by her classmate, Kamiigusa Alice, even though she knows next to nothing about anime. Anime Boston 2024: One Piece Fandom in the 4Kids Era

A History Lesson In this day and age, it’s difficult to explain just how different anime fandom was during the greater anime boom.
