Time is Märchen on to the première of this series.
Earlier today, the official Märchen Mädchen (Fairy Tale Girls) anime website updated with new details on the show’s cast, as well as details on its theme songs. We break the details down below:
Cast
The new cast members include:
- Arthur Pendragon: Reina Ueda
- Ariko Kasumi: Kaede Hondo
- Headmaster: Akemi Okamura

Theme Songs
fhána (Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, The Eccentric Family) will perform the show’s currently-untitled opening theme song. Reina Ueda, who plays Arthur Pendragon, will perform the closing theme.
Märchen Mädchen will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, and BS11 when it hits Japanese TV in January.
Hisashi Saito (The Testament of Sister New Devil, Heaven’s Lost Property) is serving as Chief Director on the project, while Shigeru Ueda (Elemental Gelade, RIN – Daughters of Mnemosyne) takes the director’s chair at Hoods Entertainment. Yuki Morikawa is providing character designs for the title, while late creator Tomohiro Matsu (Mayoi Neko Overrun!, Queen’s Blade: The Exiled Virgin) is credited with series composition.
The previously confirmed voice cast includes:
- Yumilia Qazan: Lynn
- Shizuka Tsuchimikado: Rie Suegara
- Hazuki Kagimura: Tomori Kusunoki
- Agathe Arier: Ai Kakuma
- Maria Rasputin: Airi Ootsu
- Lynne Daves: Rina Hidaka
Märchen Mädchen is based on a title that Matsu wrote over the course of three years before he passed away. The first novel, which is still attributed to him, hit stores on February 24.
Two other novels by Matsu, Mayoi Neko Overrun! and Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father! both received anime adaptations. He also co-wrote the story concepts for Ixion Saga DT and handled series composition on Queen’s Blade: The Exiled Virgin.
Sadly, Matsu passed away last spring.
