Look, let’s not discuss plot twists or crazy developments… even if it means keeping the secret that Pikachu’s really just three dudes in a suit.

Oh, crap. Did I say that out loud?

Earlier today, The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! will air on Disney XD this month. The film will hit the network on November 25, at 10:00AM local time. A second screening for the film will be held later in the day, at 6:00PM.

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! hit Japanese theaters on July 15. The feature was directed by Kunihiko Yuyama (Pokémon TV franchise, Kimagure Orange Road: Summer’s Beginning) at Oriental Light and Magic, with Norihiro Matsubara (Gunsmith Cats, Ushio & Tora OVA) and Sayuri Ichiishi (Pokémon TV, Wedding Peach DX) providing character designs. Shoji Yonemura (Soreike! Anpanman, Lupin III: Island of Assassins) wrote the film’s screenplay.

Fathom Events held a North American run for the feature, which was held on November 5 and 6. Encore screenings on November 11 and 14 were added due to overwhelming demand.

The Pokémon Company describes the film as:

Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You! is an origin story highlighting Ash and Pikachu’s first meeting and their adventures as they search for the Legendary Pokémon Ho-Oh. The iconic pair encounter familiar faces along the way, new characters including Trainers Verity and Sorrel, and even a mysterious new Mythical Pokémon, Marshadow. Challenges and epic Pokémon battles abound in this unique new story about the beginning of one of the most beloved friendships in popular culture.
