Kokkoku: Moment By Moment Gets 2-Minute Teaser Trailer & Visual

You know, you can fit a ton of moments into two minutes.

Earlier today, the official Kokkoku: Moment by Moment anime website updated with a new teaser trailer. The two-minute promo introduces the core concepts behind the series (plus a healthy dose of temporal weirdness and eldritch horrors).

A new key visual was also released, which features the major cast members standing on an unidentified street. A shadow of a horrific monster can be seen stretching across the scene as a blood-red silhouette.

Kokkoku: Moment by Moment will air in January 2018. Tokyo MX and BS11 will air the series on Japanese TV. On the digital front, Amazon will stream the show exclusively on Amazon Prime in all regions.

Yoshimitsu Ohashi (Witchblade, Galaxy Angel) was tapped to direct Kokkoku: Moment by Moment at Geno Studio, with Masaki Hinata providing character designs. Noboru Kimura (Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!, Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~) is in charge of series composition for the project.

Other confirmed crew members include:

  • Original Character Designs: Yasuomi Umetsu
  • Chief Animation Director: Masaki Hinata
  • Music: MICHIRU
  • Production: Twin Engine

The opening theme song, Flashback, will be performed by MIYAVI vs. KenKen.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Juri Yukawa: Chika Anzai
  • Shōko Majima: Asami Seto
  • Old Man: Kazuhiro Yamaji
  • Junji Sagawa: Hozumi Gōda
  • Takafumi Yukawa: Kouji Tsujitani
  • Tsubasa Yukawa: Hirofumi Nojima
  • Makoto Yukawa: Ryūto Iwata
  • Shiomi: Yuya Uchida
  • Sako: Hiroyuki Yoshino

Kodansha Comics currently holds the rights to the Kokkoku manga in North America, and plans to release the title in digital format tomorrow. They describe Kokkoku as:

In order to save her brother and nephew who have been kidnapped by a mysterious religious group known as the Genuine Love Society, Juri and her family cast a spell using a stone hidden by her grandfather to enter the world of stopped time known as Stasis. However, when they infiltrate the kidnapper’s base, they’re met by other people who can also move about freely. With grotesque creatures lurking about, will they be able to escape the parallel world and return to their normal lives?!
