“Akkun to Kanojo” Manga Gets Anime Adaptation

It’s a new anime series… but it’s not like they want you to watch it… b-baka.

The wraparound band on the seventh collected volume of Waka Kakitsubata’s Akkun to Kanojo (Akkun and His Girlfriend) reveals that the title will receive an anime adaptation.

According to news source Otakomu, the series will star the following:

  • Atsuhiro “Akkun” Kagari: Jun Fukuyama
  • Non “Nontan” Katagari: Aoi Yuki

The two are reprising their roles from a drama CD that shipped to retailers in December 2016.

Series creator Waka Kakitsubata drew a sketch to celebrate the big news:

Akkun to Kanojo launched in the pages of Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Gene in June 2013. The series boasts over 480,000 books in print. In addition to the print sources, the title is available on Pixiv.
