This time, it’s not just a flyer.
Earlier today, the official Code Geass website updated with the second key visual for upcoming film Code Geass – Hangyaku no Lelouch – Handō (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion – The Rebellion Path). The image is identical to the one which was being circulated in flyers earlier this week.
The site also reports that Sakura Fujiwara will perform main theme song The Moon for the movie.
Ali Project’s Yūkyō Seishunka, which served as the TV show’s theme song, will be the film’s opening theme. Yuka Aisaka’s Ima wa Koko ni (Here Now) will serve as an insert song.
The feature will open in 79 theaters across Japan on February 10, 2018. Folks who pre-purchase their tickets will receive a free clear file.
The Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion TV series is an original series from Sunrise and manga supergroup CLAMP. The show originally began airing in the fall 2006 broadcast season, and spanned 26 episodes. Several spinoffs and OVAs, as well as sequel series Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 have been produced since the show’s run.
Goro Taniguchi (Gun x Sword, Planetes) directed the series, while Takahiro Kimura (Dirty Pair Flash, SD Gundam Force) provided character designs. The team of Ichiro Okouchi (Azumanga Daioh, Guilty Crown) and Hiroyuki Yoshino (Accel World, Macross Frontier) took charge of series composition, with Yoshino serving as assistant to Okouchi.
The core cast and crew members returned to reprise their roles for the films.
At Anime NYC, Sunrise announced that Funimation currently holds the rights to the features, though specific details are unknown as of press time.
