Anime Boston is asking fans to open their eyes at next year’s convention.

Yesterday, Anime Boston announced that singer-songwriter Asaka will attend their 2018 convention as a guest of honor. She will host a live concert at the event, though specific details have yet to be announced.

Asaka is a relatively new talent in the world of Japanese music. The 18-year-old performer is making her US début at the convention, though she lived in the United States as a child.

Asaka’s début single, Open Your Eyes, served as the closing the song for 2016 series Occultic;Nine. Her second single, Edelweiss, was the ending theme for A Centaur’s Life. Her song Shiny Days will be used as the intro theme for upcoming anime Laid-Back Camp.

Anime Boston chairman Victor Lee commented on the news, stating “We are so excited to be able to present Asaka at Anime Boston. She’s one of the brightest young stars in music today and Anime Boston is the best place to introduce her to her American fans!”

Anime Boston 2018 will be held from March 30 through April 1 at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center. J-Rock group FLOW will also attend as guests for the convention.
