“Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii” Anime Gets First Trailer & Visual


Love may be hard for an otaku, but that doesn’t mean that it won’t make for a great TV show.

Earlier today, the official Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii (Love is Hard for an Otaku) anime website updated with a new key visual and trailer. We break the details down below.

The two-minute teaser introduces the major cast members, and confirms that A-1 Pictures is producing the project.

The visual confirms that two other visuals will be released this month:

  • 1/11/2018: Hanako Koyanagi and Tarล Kabakura
  • 1/18/2018: Naoya Nifuji and Kล Sakuragi

The new visual features lead characters Narumi Momose and Hirotaka Nifuji, dressed in business attire as they pose against a white background.

Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii will air on Fuji TV’s NoitaminA block in April. As a reminder, Amazon is currently the exclusive streaming provider for all shows that air in the NoitaminA block.

  • Narumi Momose: Arisa Date
  • Hirotaka Nifuji: Kent Itล
  • Hanako Koyanagi: Miyuki Sawashiro
  • Tarล Kabakura: Tomokazu Sugita
  • Naoya Nifuji: Yuuki Kaji
  • Kล Sakuragi: Aoi Yลซki

Date and Itล previously appeared in promo teasers for the manga.

Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii originally launched on image hosting platform Pixiv in 2014. The series was picked up by Ichijinsha, and made its dรฉbut in online publication Comic POOL in November 2015. The title currently spans four collected volumes, with the fourth volume slated to hit stores on February 2.
