PonyCan USA Website Taken Offline

Well, this is a bit worrisome.

On January 3, the PonyCan USA website was taken offline. The site currently directs to a blank white screen, with “ponycan.us” printed in plain text. Attempting to navigate to other locations on the site lead to a 404 error.

According to the Internet Archive’s WayBack Machine, the site was last updated on December 21, 2017. Google Cache pegs the site as online as of January 2.

The company’s Facebook and Twitter channels were promoting upcoming anime Sanrio Boys! as recently as December 25.

We’ve reached out to PonyCan USA for more details.

PonyCan USA made its début in September 2014. The company launched with licenses for Denki-Gai and Yuki Yuna Is A Hero‘s first season, and quickly added titles like Cute High Earth Defense Force LOVE! and Sound! Euphonium. As of press time, the company holds licenses for the following:

  • Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!
  • Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE!
  • DAYS
  • Denki-Gai
  • Etotama
  • Garakowa -Restore the World- (movie)
  • Kuromukuro
  • Lance N’ Masques
  • The Lost Village
  • Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers
  • Sound! Euphonium
  • Yuki Yuna Is a Hero
