Funimation Unveils “Citrus” Anime Dub Cast


It looks like this yuri series is introducing itself in an all-new light today.

Earlier today, Funimation announced the English dub cast for Citrus. The series will star the following:

  • Yuzu: Megan Shipman
  • Mei: Amber Lee Connors
  • Harumi: Margaret McDonald
  • Maruta: Natalie Hoover
  • Himeko: Bryn Apprill
  • Ume: Terri Doty
  • Amamiya: Dave Trosko
  • Mineko: Cynthia Cranz
  • Kana: Michelle Rojas
  • Manami: Brittany Lauda

Kristen McGuire is directing the adaptation, which features scripts by Katelyn Barr. Rickey Watkins is working as ADR Engineer, while Andrew Tipps serves as Mixing Engineer.

The first episode’s dub went live earlier today on FunimationNow.

Takeo Takahashi (Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers , Spice and Wolf) is directing the project at Passione, with Izuro Ijuuin filling the dual role of character designer and chief animation director. Naoki Hayashi is in charge of series composition.

Record label Lantis is in charge of music production. nano.RIPE will perform opening theme Azalea, while Mia Regina will handle closing theme song Dear Teardrop.

Funimation describes Citrus as:

Yuzu Aihara loves fashion, friends, and having fun! But when her mom remarries and she’s forced to transfer schools, this fashionable teen’s sweet life turns sour. On her first day, she makes enemies with the beautiful student council president, Mei, who also winds up being her brand-new stepsister. But nothing can prepare Yuzu for a surprise kiss from this girl who supposedly hates her!
