“Last Period: Owari naki Rasen no Monogatari” Smartphone Game Gets Anime TV Series


Get ready for the last period before the first period, folks!

Earlier today, publisher Happy Elements launched a website to announce that their Last Period: Owari naki Rasen no Monogatari (Last Period: The Story of an Endless Spiral) smartphone game will receive an anime Tv series. A trailer and visual, as well as details on the cast, crew, theme songs, and broadcast window were confirmed.

The 105-second trailer offers a look at the show in action, as theme song Yokubari Dreamer (Grand Dreamer) by Natsuki Hanae and Yukari Tamura plays as a background track.

Staff

Yoshiaki Iwasaki (The Familiar of Zero, Hayate the Combat Butler!!) was tapped to direct the project at J.C. Staff, with Mika Takahashi (Twin Angels BREAK, Neuro – Supernatural Detective) providing character designs. Hideki Shirane (My Girlfriend is Shobitch, Sword Oratoria: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? On the Side) is in charge of series composition for the title.

Natsuki Hanae and Yukari Tamura will perform opening theme song Yokubari Dreamer (Grand Dreamer).

Broadcasting

The Last Period anime will hit Japanese TV in April. Tokyo MX, ABC Asahi Broadcasting, and BS11 are confirmed to be airing the title.

The original Last Period smartphone game launched on iOS and Android in May 2016. The title has been downloaded over five million times in Japan since launch.
