Finally, these films have been freed from their shackles!
Earlier today, Crunchyroll announced that they added the Garden of Sinners film series to their digital library. All ten movies are available to Crunchyroll members in the Americas.
The Garden of Sinners films are based on Kinoko Nasu’s (Fate/stay night) Kara no Kyōkai novel. The films, which were released between 2007 and 2013, were produced by studio ufotable.
Aniplex of America describes the films as:
After lying in a coma for two years caused by a traffic accident, Shiki Ryougi awakens with amnesia. Inexplicably, she finds, in turn, that she has also obtained the “Mystic Eyes of Death Perception” in which she can see the invisible lines of mortality that hold every living and non-living thing together. Working for a small independent agency, Shiki attempts to unravel the baffling mystery behind a series of abnormal, horrifying incidents. Are they a foreshadowing that leads to something even more tragic and ominous? Things are not what they appear to be on the surface, but what dark revelations lie underneath? In this modern occult-action thriller, Shiki must tackle supernatural incidents with her special abilities while searching for her purpose for living.
Aniplex first released the first seven The Garden of Sinners films in North America in 2011. At the time, the movies were released in a single set, which retailed for $598.98. A limited-edition DVD set hit retailers a year later, which carried a price of $189.98. A standard-edition Blu-Ray set for the eight core films hit retailers on November 10, 2015.
