It’s time to meet the quirky characters aboard the good ship Tiramisu.

Earlier today, the official Space Battleship Tiramisu anime website updated with a new trailer and key visual, as well as the core cast and crew members attached to the project.

We break the details down below.

Trailer

The minute-long promo features a look at the show in action, as a narrator (voiced by Akio Ohtsuka) sets the stage. The drama quickly turns, well… silly, to say lightly.

Key Visual

The image features lead characters Subaru and Isuzu fighting it out over lunch. In the background, two mecha clash, and there’s a space pupper ’cause why not?

The tagline reads “The Earth was blue. These brothers were morons.”

Cast

  • Subaru Ichinose: Kaito Ishikawa
  • Isuzu Ichinose: Takahiro Sakurai
  • Vulgar Hummer: Junichi Suwabe
  • Subaru-B: Takuya Eguchi
  • Narrator: Akio Ohtsuka

Staff

Hiroshi Ikehata (Akiba’s Trip: The Animation, Seiyu’s Life!) was tapped to direct Space Battleship Tiramisu at Gonzo, with Ai Yokoyama (Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, X-Men) providing character designs. Yū Sato (Inferno Cop) is in charge of series composition for the project.

Space Battleship Tiramisu will begin airing in April. A specific première date hasn’t been announced, though Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS11 will air the show on Mondays at 25:00 (Tuesdays at 1:00AM). Hikari TV will start streaming episodes an hour later.

Satoshi Miyakawa and illustrator Kei Itō’s Space Battleship Tiramisu manga debuted on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch platform in October 2015. The title currently spans four collected volumes, with the most recent hitting stores on September 8. Volume 5 will ship to retailers on March 9.
