The cover for the latest issue of Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine (Issue #4, 2018) confirms that Grand Blue Dreaming will receive an anime adaptation. As of press time, no further details have been announced.
In January, AnimeJapan accidentally announced that Avex would show off several works, including “a new Grand Blue” anime at their event. The listing was quickly pulled, as Avex hadn’t announced the title at the time.
Kenji Inoue and artist Kimitake Yoshioka launched Grand Blue in the pages of Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine in April 2014. Nine volumes have been released, with the most recent hitting stores in October 6, 2017.
Kodansha Comics is releasing the title in the west under the title Grand Blue Dreaming. They describe the title as:
