First Cast & Trailer Unveiled for “You don’t know GUNMA yet” Anime


I’m Gunma, you’re Gunma, we’re all Gunma… we just don’t know it yet.

Earlier today, the official You don’t know GUNMA yet (Omae wa Mada Gunma o Shiranai) anime website updated with a new trailer, the major cast members, and several staffers attached to the project. We break the details down below:

Trailer

The 30-second teaser jumps between cuts from the show proper. An instrumental piece plays in the background of the promo.

Cast

The series will star the following:

  • Nori Kamitsuki: Gakuto Kajiwara
  • Otoya Todoroki: Jun Kasama
  • Kyō “Shinocchi” Shinooka: Aya Uchida

Visuals for the three characters were also unveiled, which you can check out below:

Staff

Three staffers were confirmed:

  • Art Director: Hiroyuki Nemoto
  • Color Key Artist: Haruko Nobori
  • Music: Kyōhei Matsuno

You don’t know GUNMA yet hits Japanese TV on April 2. The full broadcast schedule is as follows:

  • Gunma TV: 4/2/2018 at 20:55 (4/2/2018 at 8:55PM)
  • GYAO!: 4/2/2018 at 21:00 (4/2/2018 at 9:00PM)
  • Animax: 4/7/2018 at 23:25 (4/7/2018 at 11:25PM)

The project will be directed by Mankyū (Puchim@s, Fist of the North Star: Strawberry Flavor), who is also taking charge of series composition at Asahi Production. Tomonori Kogawa (The Ideon: A Contact, Space Battleship Yamato Resurrection, ) is in charge of character designs for the project.

Hiroto Ida’s You don’t know Gunma yet. launched in October 2013, on Shinchosha’s digital platform Kurage Bunch. Eight compiled volumes have been released to date, with the most recent shipping to stores in July 2017.

A live-action TV series based on the series also aired in March 2017, on NTV.
