Hm… I need to make a pun here. Thinking, thinking… “There’s nobody to Blame! when there’s news as good as this!” (Yeah, that’s awful…)
Earlier today, Polygon Pictures Holdings announced that they are launching a joint venture with manga artist Tsutomu Nihei. The new company, called “Tōa Jūkō Yūgen Sekinin Jugyō Kumiai” (“TOA Heavy Industries, LLP”), aims to expand operations into fields beyond animation.
TOA Heavy Industries is the name of a manufacturing and engineering corporation that appears in Blame!, Biomega, and Knights of Sidonia.
According to the announcement, TOA Heavy Industries, LLP will oversee new works and general rights management. The organization will also plan original projects in the following categories:
- Video Games
- Merchandise
- Industrial Product Design
An official website for the organization will launch later this year.
Polygon Pictures is the parent company for anime studio Polygon Pictures. The studio previously produced anime adaptations for Knights of Sidonia and Blame!, both of which were originally written by Nihei.
