It looks like this one just escaped the orbit of the April Fool.

Earlier today, the official Space Battleship Tiramisu (Uchū Senkan Tiramisu) anime website updated with two new cast members and three mecha designs, as well as details on the show’s première and a stage play adapatation.

We break the details down below:


The series will add the following:

  • Venturi Leroy: Takaya Hashi
  • Ligier Leroy: Aya Endo

Visuals for both characters were also revealed, which you can check out below.

Mecha Designs

Three mecha were unveiled:

  • Durandal (Subaru’s mech)
  • Primavera (Ligier’s mech)
  • Kerukeion (Isuzu’s mech)


Space Battleship Tiramisu will hit Japanese TV on April 2. The full broadcast schedule is as follows:

  • Tokyo MX: 4/2/2018 at 25:00 (4/3/2018 at 1:00AM)
  • Sun TV: 4/2/2018 at 26:00 (4/3/2018 at 2:00AM)
  • BS11: 4/2/2018 at 26:30 (4/3/2018 at 2:30AM)
  • AT-X: 4/6/2018 at 22:35 (4/6/2018 at 10:35PM)

Hikari TV will also stream the show starting April 2. An early screening event will be held on March 31 at TOHO Cinemas Ueno. Kaito Ishikawa and Takahiro Sakurai, who play Subaru and Isuzu, respectively, will attend the event.

Stage Play

The play will open in theaters this summer. Yūsei Naruse is writing the script, while Kazuhito Yoneyama will direct the production. An official website was opened, though no further details have been divulged.

Hiroshi Ikehata (Akiba’s Trip: The Animation, Seiyu’s Life!) was tapped to direct Space Battleship Tiramisu at Gonzo, with Ai Yokoyama (Bayonetta: Bloody Fate, X-Men) providing character designs. Yū Sato (Inferno Cop) is in charge of series composition for the project.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Subaru Ichinose: Kaito Ishikawa
  • Isuzu Ichinose: Takahiro Sakurai
  • Vulgar Hummer: Junichi Suwabe
  • Subaru-B: Takuya Eguchi
  • Narrator: Akio Ohtsuka

Satoshi Miyakawa and illustrator Kei Itō’s Space Battleship Tiramisu manga debuted on Shinchosha’s Kurage Bunch platform in October 2015. The title currently spans four collected volumes, with the most recent hitting stores on September 8. Volume 5 will ship to retailers on March 9.
