Earlier today, the Food Wars! anime’s official Twitter account started streaming a new TV spot for the second half of the show’s third season. The 15-second promo features opening theme song Symbol by Rack Life as a background track.

Food Wars! The Third Plate returns to Japanese TV on April 8. Tokyo MX and BS11 will both carry the show at 24:30 (4/9/2018 at 12:30AM). The new season will follow the “Tōtsuki Train” (Tōtsuki Ressha) arc.
The Food Wars! anime adapts Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki’s manga of the same name. Yoshitomo Yonetani (Nurse Witch Komugi, Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising-) is directing the show’s third season at J.C. Staff, while Tomoyuki Shitaya (Bakuman, Kiss×sis) providedscharacter designs. Shogo Yasukawa (Terraformars, Chivalry of a Failed Knight) is in charge of series composition for the project.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming Food Wars! The Third Plate as part of their Winter 2018 simulcast lineup. They describe the show as:
Shokugeki no Soma centers on Yukihira Soma, a middle school student who is determined to surpass his father’s culinary skills. One day, his father decides to close down their family restaurant and hone his skills in Europe. Before leaving he enrolls Soma in an elite culinary school that is extremely difficult to enter with a graduation rate of only 10 percent. Will Soma be able to improve his skills, or will the kitchen prove to be too hot?
