“Love to Lie Angle” Anime Gets First Teaser Trailer


It’s time to meet the quirky folks who will drive this offbeat rom-com.

Earlier today, the official Love to Lie Angle (Tachibanakan To Lie Angle) anime website updated with a new teaser trailer. The 30-second promo introduces the show’s major characters, with character dialogue driving the general flow.

The show will début on April 3. The full broadcast is as follows:

  • Tokyo MX: 4/3/2018 at 25:00 (4/4/2018 at 1:00AM)
  • AT-X: 4/6/2018 at 22:45 (4/6/2018 at 10:45PM)
  • BS-Fuji: 4/10/2018 at 24:56 (4/11/2018 at 12:56AM)

Hisayoshi Hirasawa (Miss Bernard said.) was tapped to direct the project at Creators in Pack and Studio Lings, with Yutsuko Hanai providing character designs. Words in Stereo (Love is Like a Cocktail, Netsuzou Trap -NTR-) is in charge series composition.

Erabareshi will perform opening theme song Motto, Nee Motto.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Konomi Fujiwara: Amisa Sakuragi
  • Iori Takamura: Arisa Nakada
  • Yoriko Fujiwara: Rei Matsuzaki
  • Yū Tsukishiro: Mikako Komatsu

merryhachi’s Love To Lie Angle kicked debuted in the pages of Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime magazine in 2014. The series currently spans five collected volumes, with the latest shipping to retailers on December 18.

Digital Manga currently holds the rights to Love to Lie Angle. They released the first volume on January 11, and describe the series as:

After moving back to her hometown, Natsuno Hanabi is ready to start high school and excited to be living in Tachibana Mansion, a luxurious mansion-style dormitory. However, due to some complications, she winds up at run-down but lively Tachibana House… and finds herself stuck between her childhood friend and a mysterious beauty. Will this love triangle define her high school experience?
