New Character Visuals Unveiled for Chio’s School Road Anime

It’s time to get a new look at these perfectly ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary events.

Earlier today, the official Chio’s School Road (Chio-chan no Tsūgakuro) anime website updated with a series of character visuals. A new image, which depicts the four major characters was added to the site.

Chio’s School Road will hit Japanese TV in July. The title was originally slated to air in April, though it was delayed. Kadokawa first announced the title in July 2017.

Takayuki Inagaki (Rosario + Vampire, First Love Monster) is pulling double duty at diomedia as both director and head of series composition. Mayuko Matsumoto (KanColle, Handa-kun) is providing character designs for the project.

The series will star the following:

  • Chio Miyamo: Naomi Ōzora
  • Manana Nonomura: Chiaki Omigawa
  • Yuki Hosokawa: Kaede Hondo
  • Madoka Kushitori: Yō Taichi

Kadokawa describes the project as:

Arriving at a school just as usual is a miracle!

Gangs at the construction site, sudden desire to urinate… The high school student Chio has to face all kinds of troubles!

The extreme comedy is now being adapted into an anime!

Chio’s School Road kicked off in the pages of Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Flapper magazine in May 2014. To date, six collected volumes have been produced, with the most recent hitting stores on March 23.

Kadokawa previously released twenty-seven screenshots for Chio’s School Road, which you can check out below.
