Godzilla: The City Industrialized for the Ultimate Battle Gets New Cast Reveals


The King of the Monsters is ready for the ultimate battle… are you?

Earlier today, the official Twitter account for Polygon Pictures’ Godzilla anime films updated with new details on upcoming second film Godzilla: Kessen Kidō Zōshoku Toshi (Godzilla: The City Industrialized for the Ultimate Battle – lit. Fixed Battle Mobile Promotion City).

Two new cast members were confirmed for the film:

  • Maina: Reina Ueda
  • Miana: Ari Ozawa

A visual for the characters was also revealed, which you can check out below.

The film hits Japanese theaters on May 18. The feature will feature a showdown between MechaGodzilla and Godzilla Earth.

Kobun Shizuno (Knights of Sidonia) and Hiroyuki Seshita (Blame!) is directing the featuers at Polygon Pictures. Gen Urobuchi (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Psycho-Pass) is writing the screenplay and sharing series composition duties with Yūsuke Kozaki .

XAI will perform theme song The Sky Falls.

The Japanese voice cast includes:

  • Yuko Tani: Kana Hanazawa
  • Haruo Sakaki: Mamoru Miyano
  • Mulu-Elu Galu-gu: Junichi Suwabe
  • Metphies: Takahiro Sakurai
  • Martin Lazzari: Tomokazu Sugita
  • Adam Bindewald: Yuuki Kaji

The first film in the franchise, titled Godzilla: Monster Planet, hit Japanese theaters on November 17, 2017. Netflix started streaming the feature on January 17.
