Calling it now, this will be the most adorkable comedy of the year when it airs.
Earlier today, ASCII Media Works’ Comic Dengeki Daioh “g” magazine announced that Katsuwo’s Hitori Bocchi no OO Seikatsu (Hitori Bocchi’s ○○ Life) manga will receive an anime TV series. An official website for the project opened its doors, which contains a TV spot.
The advertisement confirms that the show is in the works, and offers a brief look at the titular Hitori Bocchi running by the camera before she take notice and hides behind her bag.
Lead character Hitori Bocchi will be played by Chisaki Morishita.
Hitori Bocchi no OO Seikatsu launched in the pages of ASCII Media Works’ Comic Dengeki Daioh “g” magazine in 2013. The series currently spans four volumes, with the most recent hitting stores on February 26.
Manga resource Baka-Updates describes the title as:
In order to reconcile with her childhood friend, a very shy girl aims to befriend everyone in her class.
Katsuwo is also the author of Mitsuboshi Colors, which receive an anime TV series in January.
