Honey’s back to fight against Panther Claw, but she won’t do it alone!
Over the past three days, Sentai Filmworks announced that they licensed at trio of anime properties. The publisher added the following to their catalog:
- Cutie Honey Universe
- Tada Never Falls In Love (Tada-kun wa Koi wo Shinai)
- Real Girl (3D Kanojo)
Cutie Honey Universe
Sentai picked up the rights to Cutie Honey Universe in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Nordics, Spain, Portugal, Central America, and South America.
Akitoshi Yokoyama was tapped to direct Cutie Honey Universe at Production Reed, with Syūichi Iseki filling the dual role of character designer and chief animation director. Natsuko Takahashi (Love Tyrant, Urahara) is in charge of series composition.

Based on the groundbreaking franchise that launched the “magical girl” genre and produced as part of the 50th anniversary commemorating the work of anime and manga wunderkind Go Nagai (Devilman Crybaby), Cutie Honey Universe follows Honey Kisaragi, an amazingly humanlike and fashion conscious android with the unique ability to transform her body into a wide range of outrageous yet stylish disguises, each of which comes with its own dazzling super ability. After a run-in with a sinister secret criminal cabal organization, Panther Claw, the luscious and law-abiding Honey makes it her mission to bring them down.
Tada Never Falls In Love
Sentai acquired the rights to Tada Never Falls In Love in North America, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, South Africa, the Netherlands, Scandinavia, Spain, Portugal, and Latin America.
Mitsue Yamazaki (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East) was tapped to direct the project at Doga Kobo, with Junichiro Taniguchi (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, ) providing character designs. Yoshiko Nakamura (Monthly Girls’ Nozaki-kun, Super Lovers) is in charge of series compsition.
Sentai describes the show as:
One serendipitous day, Tada is taking pictures of cherry blossoms and unexpectedly meets Teresa, a transfer student from Luxembourg. Tada helps Teresa as she gets separated from her group and takes her to his grandfather’s coffee shop. As Tada and Teresa’s friendship begins to blossom, Tada starts to question his feelings.
Real Girl
Sentai picked up the rights to Real Girl in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, UK, Ireland, South Africa, Netherlands, Scandinavia, Nordics, Spain, Portugal, Central America, and South America.
Takashi Naoya (Luck & Logic, Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru) was tapped to direct the project at Hoods Entertainment, with Satomi Kurita (Hina Logic – from Luck & Logic) providing character designs. Deko Akao (Noragami, Flying Witch) is in charge of series composition for the project.

The character-driven story follows the reclusive Hikari Tsutsui as he accidentally falls in love with the popular Iroha Igarashi, despite his aversion to real-world girls.
