This year’s “Machi ★ Asobi” fan event featured a Love is Like a Cocktail talk show, which was attended by series creator Crystal na Yōsuke and Koharu Sakurai actress Arisa Nakata. During the show, the hosts announced that a fourteenth episode of the anime is in the works. Nakata expressed hope for a second season, adding “Please look forward to episode 14! And maybe a second season with your aid? I absolutely want to do it, so by all means, thanks for your support in the future!”

The Love is Like a Cocktail anime aired in the Fall 2017 broadcast season.

Creators in Pack (Miss Bernard said., Ojisan to Marshmallow) produced the show, which was being helmed by Saori Tachibana. Hisayoshi Hirasawa (Miss Bernard said., Ojisan to Marshmallow) served as Chief Director on the project, with Yuzuko Hanai providing character designs. WORDS in STEREO (Kitaro’s Yokai Picture Diary, Netsuzou Trap -NTR-) was in charge of series composition.

Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. They describe it as:

Quiet but capable, Mizusawa Chisato is a beautiful leader who has a secret that only her husband, Sora, knows about: she loves to drink, and when she’s drunk, she becomes extremely adorable! What bliss will Sora’s cocktail bring tonight? “Yoidere,” the drunken comedy cocktail about Japan’s most lovey-dovey couple.
