“Dropkick on My Devil!” Anime’s Ending Theme Song Announced

Earlier today, the official Dropkick on My Devil! (Jashin-chan Dropkick!) anime website updated with details on the show’s opening theme song, as well as the première schedule.

The series will hit Japanese TV on July 9. The full schedule is as follows:

  • Chiba TV: 7/13/2018 at 25:00 (7/14/2018 at 1:00AM)
  • Tochigi TV: 7/11/2018 at 24:00 (7/12/2018 at Midnight)
  • Mie TV: 7/11/2018 at 26:05 (7/12/2018 at 2:05AM)
  • Sun TV: 7/9/2018 at 25:30 (7/10/2018 at 1:30AM)
  • Nishinippon Broadcasting: 7/15/2018 at 26:00 (7/16/2018 at 2:00AM)
  • BS Fuji: 7/9/2018 at 24:00 (7/10/2018 at Midnight)

Amazon will also offer the series on their Amazon Prime Video platform.

Hikaru Sato (Chronicles of the Going Home Club) was tapped to direct Dropkick on My Devil! at studio Nomad, with Makoto Koga (Aria the Animation, Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-chan) providing character designs. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Monster Musume, Tantei Opera Milky Holmes) is in charge of series composition for the project.

The confirmed voice cast includes:

  • Yusa: Kazusa Aranami
  • Kōji: Miko Terada
  • Medusa: Miyu Kubota

  • Persephone the Second: Riho Iida
  • Pekora: Yurie Kozakai
  • Role Unspecified: Marina Yamada

Yukiwo’s Jashin-chan Dropkick manga launched in the pages of Holp Shuppan’s Comic Meteor magazine in April 2012. The series currently spans nine collected volumes, with the most recent hitting stores on December 12.

Manga resource Baka-Updates describes the title as:

Jyashin-chan Dropkick is a violent slapstick comedy about a delusional gothic lolita, Yurine, who summons a demon girl with the tail of a cobra, Jyashin-chan.

They’ll have to live together — until Yurine finds a way to send Jyashin-chan back to hell, or until Jyashin-chan kills Yurine.
