Finally, the gates to neverland have opened… for better or worse.

Earlier today, the official The Promised Neverland anime website opened its doors. The site includes a new teaser trailer, as well as at trio of character visuals. We break the details down below:

The 78-second promo features stills from the original manga, set to a haunting melody. Narration by the actors for Ray, Norman, and Emma sets the stage for the show’s main plot.

The Promised Neverland will air on Fuji TV’s late-night noitaminA block in January 2019. As a reminder, Amazon currently holds the exclusive digital rights to all noitaminA titles for the foreseeable future.

We previously reported that the adaptation was in the works on April 23. The work was officially confirmed on the cover of the current issue. We confirmed the show’s January premiere on the noitaminA block on Friday, May 25.

Kaiu Shirai and illustrator Posuka Demizu’s The Promised Neverland launched in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump on August 1, 2016. The series currently spans seven volumes, with the most recent hitting stores on April 4.

Viz Media currently holds the rights to the series in North America. They describe the title as:

In THE PROMISED NEVERLAND, Emma, Norman, and Ray are the brightest kids at the Grace Field House orphanage. And under the care of the woman they refer to as “Mom,” all the kids have enjoyed a comfortable life. Good food, clean clothes and the perfect environment to learn—what more could an orphan ask for? One day, though, Emma and Norman uncover the dark truth of the outside world they are forbidden from seeing.
