Second “Grand Blue Dreaming” Trailer & Visual Hits the Web, Theme Song Also


It’s a shining dream of the brilliant blue… an endless ocean of possibilities.

Earlier today, the official Grand Blue Dreaming (Grand Blue) anime website updated with a new key visual and trailer, as well as details on the show’s theme songs. We break the details down below:

Trailer

The minute-long promo features Iori Kitahara as narrator, as he explains the show’s general premise. At the 28-second mark, theme song Grand Blue by Shōnan no Kaze kicks in.

The image features the main cast on the bow of their boat, a landmass visible in the distance against the azure waters.

Theme Songs

Shōnan no Kaze will perform opening theme song Grand Blue. Izu no Kaze, a vocal group made up of Yūma Uchida, Hiroki Yasumoto, Ryohei Kimura, and Katsuyuki Konishi, will perform closing theme song Konpeki no al Fine.

Shinji Takamatsu (Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE!, Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto) was tapped to direct the project at studio Zero-G. Takamatsu will also handle series composition and sound direction for the project. Hideoki Kusama (Battery the Animation) will provide character designs. NBC Universal is producing.

Grand Blue Dreaming VisualKenji Inoue and artist Kimitake Yoshioka launched Grand Blue in the pages of Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine in April 2014. Nine volumes have been released, with the most recent hitting stores in October 6, 2017.

Kodansha Comics is releasing the title in the west under the title Grand Blue Dreaming. They describe the title as:

After moving out on his own to a seaside town, Iori Kitahara makes a college debut he never anticipated. A new chapter of his life unfolds, full of diving with beautiful girls and shenanigans with a gaggle of lovable bastards! Idiot-expert Kenji Inoue and au naturel authority Kimitake Yoshioka bring you a glorious college tale filled with booze-fueled antics!
