It looks like the struggle that is middle management will be felt across the globe.
Earlier today, HIDIVE announced that they licensed the streaming rights to Mr. Tonegawa Middle Management Blues (Chūkan Kanriroku Tonegawa). The series will launch on August 3, for subscribers in the United States, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and other select territories.
In addition to the subtitled edition, HIDIVE will stream the show’s English dub as a DubCast that will also launch on August 3. New dubbed and subtitled episodes will be added on Fridays following the première.
Mr. Tonegawa Middle Management Blues hit Japanese TV on July 3. Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Hayate the Combat Butler, Nurse Witch Komugi R) is directing the project at Madhouse, with Haruhito Takada (Kaiji, Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge) providing character designs. Mitsutaka Hirota (Nanbaka, Sweetness & Lightning) is in charge of series composition.

Based on the award-winning series Kaiji, President Hyodo is bored, so he orders mid-level manager, Yukio Tonegawa, to devise a sadistic death game for his twisted entertainment. Tonegawa and his team of black-suited minions must devise and execute a plan of action that will satisfy their cruel and unsympathetic boss.
Chūkan Kanriroku Tonegawa is a spinoff of Nobuyuki Fukumoto’s Tobaku Mokushiroku Kaiji manga, which launched in Kodansha’s Monthly Young Magazine in 2015. The series moved to the Comic Days app in March. Tensei Hagiwara is writing the story, while the team of Tomohiro Hashimoto and Tomoki Miyoshi provide the artwork.
