It’s time for a slight change of cast in this grand revue.
On July 27, HIDIVE announced that they will stream Revue Starlight as part of their DubCast lineup. The adaptation will kick off on August 4, 2018 for subscribers in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and Ireland and other select territories.
New episodes will be added on Saturdays.
Revue Starlight first hit Japanese TV on July 12. HIDIVE is streaming the series as part of their Summer 2018 simulcast lineup.
The title is part of a multimedia franchise from Bushiroad and Nelke Planning, which was first unveiled in April 2017. At the time, a stage musical and anime TV series were confirmed. Bushiroad launched two manga titles in the franchise in Monthly Bushiroad Magazine’s February 2018 issue.
Tomohiro Furukawa was tapped to direct the anime at Kinema Citrus, with Hiroyuki Saita (Kumamiko – Girl meets Bear, My mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy) providing character designs. Tatsuto Higuchi (Schwarzes Marken, CROSS ANGE Rondo of Angel and Dragon) is in charge of series composition for the project.
HIDIVE describes Revue Starlight as:
This coming-of-age story steeped in magical realism focuses on childhood friends, Karen and Hikari, who’ve dreamt of becoming stars together but instead have to compete against each other alongside other passionate and talented girls for the lead role in the popular Starlight play.
