“Bloom Into You” Anime Cast Adds Ai Kayano, 1 More


Bloom Into You Anime VisualTwo new players in this budding love story have appeared.

Earlier today, the official Bloom Into You (Yagate Kimi ni Naru) anime website updated with two new cast members, as well as details on the show’s theme songs.

We break the details down below.

Casting

The series will add the following:

  • Sayaka Saeki: Ai Kayano
  • Seiji Maki: Taichi Ichikawa

Visuals for both characters were also revealed, which you can check out below:

Theme Songs

Riko Azukina was tapped to perform the show’s opening theme song. Lead actresses Yūki Takada and Minako Kotobuki will perform the show’s closing. Both songs will receive CD singles, which will ship to retailers on November 28.

Bloom Into You will hit Japanese TV in October.

Bloom Into You Anime Key VisualMakoto Katō (Beautiful Bones: Sakurako’s Investigation) is directing the project at Troyca, with Hiroaki Gohda (Please Teacher!, Amagami SS) providing character designs. Jukki Hanada (Love Live!, Sound! Euphonium) is in charge of series composition and writing the scripts for the title.

The series will star the following:

  • Yuu Koito: Yuuki Takada
  • Touko Nanami: Minako Kotobuki

Nio Nakatani’s Bloom Into You manga launched in the pages of Dengeki Daioh in April 2015. The ongoing series currently spans five collected volumes, with volume 5 shipping to retailers on June 26.

Seven Seas holds the rights to the title in North America. They describe it as:

Yuu has always loved shoujo manga and awaits the day she gets a love confession that sends her heart aflutter with bubbles and hearts, and yet when a junior high classmate confesses his feelings to her…she feels nothing. Disappointed and confused, Yuu enters high school still unsure how to respond. That’s when Yuu sees the beautiful student council president Nanami turn down a suitor with such maturity that she’s inspired to ask her for help. But when the next person to confess to Yuu is Nanami herself, has her shoujo romance finally begun?
