Takanori Hoshino Plays Journey Rex in Boarding School Juliet Anime


It won’t be long before this class roster is complete!

Earlier today, the official Boarding School Juliet (Kishuku Gakkō no Juliet) anime website updated with a new cast member. Takanori Hoshino will join the cast as Journey Rex.

A pair of visuals for the character were also revealed, which you can check out below.

The series will hit Japanese TV in October. TBS, BS-TBS, and MBS will air the show as part of their Animeism block. As a reminder, Amazon holds the exclusive streaming rights to all Animeism titles for the forseeable future.

Boarding School Juliet Key VisuaSeiki Takuno (Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Love and Lies) was tapped to direct Boarding School Juliet at Liden Films, with Yūki Morimoto (Miss Monochrome) providing character designs. Takao Yoshioka (High School DxD, Your Lie in April) is in charge of series composition for the project.

fripside will perform opening theme song Love with You, while Riho Iida will perform closing theme Itsuka sekai ga kawaru made (Someday, Until the World Changes).

Boarding School Juliet Key VisualYōsuke Kaneda’s Boarding School Juliet manga launched in the pages of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen magazine in 2015. The series currently spans seven compiled volumes, with the most recent shipping to stores on March 16.

Kodansha Comics currently holds the rights to the manga in North America. They describe it as:

At Dahlia Academy, a prestigious boarding school attended by students of two feuding countries—the eastern Nation of Touwa, and the Principality of West—Romio Inuzuka, leader of the dorms’ Touwa first-years, wishes for a romance that can never be. For his ladylove is none other than his arch-enemy, Juliet Persia, leader of the dorms’ West first-years! Is Inuzuka ready to risk it all to confess his feelings?
